Day 22 - A Wonderful December Day

Christmas lights hung and a cold, rainy day. I love this time of year.

Day 21 - Pooped

I hadn't seen/heard from her for 5 minutes or so, so I went to investigate and found her sound asleep in Seth's doorway. She played so hard, she just passed out. And stupid me let her sleep for a long time and she didn't end up going to bed until she was literally forced to at 1am.

Day 20 - Another Picture from the Past

This was Seth's 2nd birthday cake. We made it a tradition from that birthday on to make really cool cakes for him. He broke it this year when he wanted an ice cream cake, but that's OK.

And yes, the entire thing is edible.

Day 19 - Sweet and Sour

Sara thought it would be a great idea to have Skittles...

She quickly discovered they were sour Skittles. Priceless!

Day 18 - Shopping

This made me lol. Sara found this shopping cart in the toy aisles and insisted on pushing it all over the store, calling it her "carpet" with a "Strawberry Cake-cake" toy inside. So I pulled out my camera in the middle of Target and she posed for this picture. I'm going to have to start bringing her little shopping cart with us when we do shopping. It was just too cute.

Day 17 - Another Old Picture

This one made me laugh when I found it. This is a picture of me and my brother and his ex-fiancee. She was really sweet and I thought totally cool at the time because her apartment was completely goth. She asked me to be one of her bridesmaids and I gladly accepted. Well, one night she was at my apartment and threw her engagement ring off the balcony. That was the first sign that things weren't going well. My parents (not hers) forked out a bunch of money for this really cool reception place (Victoria style garden house). All of a sudden, she kicked me out of the wedding and a couple weeks later, the wedding was off completely (about a month before it was supposed to take place). My parents lost a bunch of money on lots of non-refundable deposits.

But the good side? I had someone alter this image and it's a reminder for me of how petty and stupid people can be. Also, I ended up getting married/having my reception at that house... gorgeous!

Day 16 - From My Past

I spent a good portion of the day going through a zip file of old poems and pictures, so I decided to post this one of our first cat, Theobald. He was a little shit through and through. We have a physical picture of him 1/2 way on a skateboard that had "Kiss My Ass" written on it. That spoke volumes of him. This picture was taken 13 1/2 years ago. He died when he was 4 years old of kidney failure. He was the epitomy of cats and we loved him a lot.

Day 15 - Imagination

Seth and Sara decided to make a bed out of the wagon and pull it in my room to watch Nemo. I love how their minds work.

Day 14 - Tornado Warning

A room should never look like this. I don't know how he exists in this place, but he's going to be grounded to this room if it isn't cleaned by the end of the day. I'm not holding my breath that it'll be done.

And this is after 45 minutes of mom kicking ass in the room. He's still grounded because it didn't get done, though.

Day 13 - My Budding Chef

Seth loves putting together food. He made this sandwich 100% by himself. The only thing I did was slice it in half when he was done. And Sara liked taking bites of it, too, so it must've been good!

Day 12 - Expensive Tastes Good

I'm not a big fan of tequila - saying the word makes me cringe involuntarily. But this one is pricier and actually tastes so much better than the regular stuff. I believe my new favorite drink is this tequila mixed with Sunny D.

Day 11 - So Much to Be Thankful For

Family has always been important to me. It's nice to be able to get together and create new memoies with them... even if I did ruin the rolls.

Day 10 - Pirate Monkey

Ok, didn't have a lot of chance for pictures today, so I took this of me wearing my pirate monkey shirt. Sara loves this shirt and makes pirate and monkey noises when I wear it.

Day 9 - Yes, I'm a Patient Person (sorta)

Yes! Today I finally got to see New Moon with the always rockin' ChristinaLala. Top it off with an over-priced NM BK Shots meal and call it a day...

Day 8 - Night Falls

5:38pm and it's almost dark outside. I love this time of year!

Day 7 - Everyday life.

Every moment of every day can't be ideal. One child wants pizza, the other wants noodles, even though I just spent over an hour preparing chicken. This picture reminds me that's it's OK to charish those moments that aren't so perfect.

Day 6 - Tell Them You Love Them

This morning I attended a funeral for a friend whose son was killed in a single car crash last weekend. It really brings into sharp focus how delicate our lives really are. I know we have fun living the virtual immortal life, and it's often hard to remember how precious the lives of all of those around us are, but remember to take a moment every day and tell those close to you how much they mean to you. Not because at any moment life might be snatched away.. but because they are important and deserve to feel important.

I love you all and wish only the best for you. Oh, and BTW, this is my wedding ring with mine and my husband's birthstones surrounding the diamond, and the necklace was a Mother's Day gift last year, with the birthstones of the four of us. I love to carry the little momentos that are constant reminders of how blessed of a life I really live.

Day 5 - So Proud!!!

Barely made it on time to the assembly at Seth's school where he was awarded Student of the Month. I'm so proud of my boy, even if I refuse to put the bumper sticker on my truck.

Day 4 - Lunch!!

Spongebob noodles have become a staple in this house. Sara can't get enough of them and honestly, they do taste pretty good.

Day 3 - Projects

Spring cleaning project I'm just now getting to. Gotta reorganize CDs and hopefully find the missing ones.

(Got too wrapped up in my project to post this yesterday. FAIL!)

Day 2 - New Stages

Moving my baby to a bigger bed. Not as simple of a task as you'd imagine. Hence her old bed is still available. Spend a couple hours sleeping with her in her new bed last night, though. At least it's fairly comfortable.

Day 1 - Monday Morning Adventure

A little New Moon to start of an exciting week.
